All change at CHEER

At the 2009 AGM Peter Lindow stood down as chairman for health reasons, and Christine Andrews (vice chairman) took over as acting chairman.

Vic Piercy stood down as honorary treasurer, and Robert Fulton was elected as his successor.

Harry Livesey was appointed as manager of CHEER (in succession to Trudy O'Keefe), and took up post on Thursday 11th June 2009, and on 18th January 2010 we welcomed Charlotte Chatwin as our new deputy manager.

Meanwhile preparations have been taking place to convert the existing unincorporated association into a charitable company limited by guarantee, with a new governing document reflecting current charity law and practice.  The new charity has been registered with Companies House (Company number 7102376) and the Charity Commission (registered number 1133482).

The trustees of the new charity are: Pat Budge (Chair), Christine Andrews (Vice-Chair), Robert Fulton (Treasurer), Jill Ainsworth and Anne Wasmer.

We plan to complete the switch over to the new structure on 1st April 2010, but our services will carry on as usual.
