CHEER’s events
Our events provide a welcoming and much-needed opportunity for clients to get out, connect with others, and enjoy new experiences. Transport assistance is available for those who need it, ensuring that mobility challenges are never a barrier to joining in.
From coffee mornings and pub lunches to visits to garden centres and shared activities with local schools and community groups, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Jane was concerned that her husband was not getting out at all as his confidence was poor following a period of poor health. Jane brought him to an event and met a friend she had not seen for many years. That friendship has widened both their circles of friendship and they now regularly attend CHEER events.
John was referred to CHEER and became a regular at our Pub Social events. He was collected by a volunteer each time and enjoyed the company that the event provided. John also welcomed the idea of a regular volunteer visit.
